Eastside Campus

The University of Florida Eastside Campus was transferred from the Florida Department of Transportation to the University of Florida in 2003.  The property includes nearly fifteen acres with facilities that house both administrative and academic functions.  The documents below provide the chronology of the University’s planning for this site that was brought under the jurisdiction of the Campus Master Plan in March 2004.  Additional information about the site may be found in the Campus Master Plan, 2005-2015.  The University views this campus as an important opportunity to expand the university presence in east Gainesville contributing to economic revitalization of that area and relocating employees from the main campus where parking and building space are at a premium.
